Our CSR Mission
The CSR policy of Zydus reflects the aim to build resilient and healthy communities to advance global health. The policy is aligned with Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013 and is guided by the Board of Directors with the CSR and ESG Committee. The policy also outlines a strategic framework for selecting, implementing, and monitoring CSR activities, ensuring they align with Zydus’ mission to nurture healthier communities globally. The CSR initiatives are exemplified through the Zydus Srishti CSR programme, which is driven by five strategic pillars, illustrated here. The flagship programmes, structured around these five key pillars, aim to create a positive societal impact in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Company implements its community initiatives either directly or through esteemed registered trusts, such as the Ramanbhai Foundation, the Zydus Foundation, and other recognised NGOs.

For specific CSR projects, such as Zydus Medical College and Hospital (ZMCH) and those associated with education, watershed management, skill development, and environmental initiatives, the monitoring teams coordinate with the implementing partners to ensure alignment with community needs.
Zydus Medical College and Hospital - Transforming Rural Health Landscape
Zydus Medical College & Hospital (ZMCH), Dahod, Gujarat, serves tribal and underserved communities in one of India’s most backward districts. Established under a PPP with the Government of Gujarat, it provides free medical services, creates local employment, and strengthens regional healthcare, with capacity expanded from 150 to 1,034 beds, including 118 ICU beds.
ZMCH offers MBBS (200 seats/year) and postgraduate programs (60+ seats), with 1,000 MBBS students currently enrolled. Hospital-integrated training addresses local health challenges, and the Family Adoption Programme has engaged 2,650 families across five batches
Hygiene and Sanitation facilities
Zydus, in partnership with the Mukesh Patel Charitable Trust, is building separate toilets and drinking water facilities in rural Maharashtra schools, with five blocks under construction in Shirpur taluka, Dhule district, setting a benchmark for sanitation
Supporting TB patients
Zydus supports the government’s “TB Harega, Desh Jeetega” programme by providing essential nutrition kits to TB patients in the Padra block. These immunityboosting kits aid recovery and reinforce the mission of building a healthier, TB-free India.
Zydus Red Cross Experience Centre
Zydus and the Red Cross have opened the Navah Experience Centre, an innovative space using art and technology to raise donation awareness. Immersive experiences and digital storytelling inspire visitors to make informed choices.
SHIKSHA
School Redevelopment Programme
The School Redevelopment Programme transformed a deteriorating secondary school in Changodar, Gujarat, into a safe, inclusive, state-of-the-art learning environment with upgraded classrooms, a staff room, a computer lab, and a playground. By strengthening infrastructure, the initiative supports quality education and empowers students to pursue higher goals.
Introducing STEM Labs at School
A state-of-the-art STEM laboratory has been established to make science and mathematics more engaging through interactive models and practical demonstrations. This hands-on environment fosters curiosity, innovation, and critical thinking, preparing students for future opportunities in STEM fields.
Education Support for Specially abled Student
Zydus, through Project Sarvangi with the Orjet Foundation, supports residential students at the Deaf and Mute School by fostering communication, selfexpression, and peer connections. The initiative also boosts academics and physical development through dedicated subject teachers and specialized PE instructors.
Scholarship Programme
Zydus promotes educational equity by offering scholarships to meritorious and underprivileged students. The Shri Ramanbhai – IPA Scholarship Programme, in collaboration with the Indian Pharmaceutical Association, supports deserving students lacking adequate social and economic resources.

The Zydus Innovation Programmes, in partnership with GIAN, empower grassroots innovators by providing a platform to showcase ideas across key sectors like healthcare, environment, energy, and technology. With mentorship, funding, and resources, the initiative helps innovators refine solutions and bring impactful, sustainable innovations to market.

Green Gujarat Initiatives Seed Ball Campaign 2.0
Zydus launched Seed Ball Campaign 2.0 to address deforestation, expanding reforestation across 15 sites in partnership with the Gujarat Forest Department. The initiative boosts green cover and biodiversity, supporting ecological conservation and climate action.
Plastic Awareness Drive
Zydus promotes plastic waste reduction through com - munity education, clean-up drives, social media outreach, and collaborations with local groups, universities, and schools. On International Women’s Day, 175 women employees collected about 250 kg of plastic waste around Modasar Lake, supporting a cleaner environment.

Skill Development for Specially abled Students
The Deaf and Mute School initiative builds employabil - ity and self-reliance through practical training in mobile filmmaking and sewing, opening new livelihood opportunities. The programme’s hands-on approach has boosted confidence, strengthened skills, and en - hanced social and economic participation.
Empowering Underprivileged Women through Skill Development Initiatives in Gujarat
The Skill Development Programme empowers under - privileged women in Gujarat through training in organic soap making, food processing, beauty services, and jewellery making. This year, it transformed the lives of 300 women in Vadodara and Ahmedabad by equipping them with sustainable livelihood skills
